Rib seats

It would be could to provide the instructions in the box when delivered. Your team sent them to me by email after fitting, which meant I had to take the drivers seat out again. The rib handbrake kit not great, didn’t fit it in the end as do low and the leatherette boot just didn’t fit right. All bolts tight but a bit squeaky any recommendations to reduce squeak?

Too Low

The actual swivels are great and really easy to install. Unfortunately the drivers side shims are not high enough to clear the handbrake and the lowering kit supplied looks awful IMO. That said they really transform the space once the seats are spun round. Brilliant but a shame about the handbrake.

Seat swivels and installation

Two packages arrived quickly. We had avidly watched the installation videos several times so we knew what we were doing, but the parts have been changed and there are no paper instructions included. Kiravans customer service was superb and very fast to send a copy of the intructions for us to follow. The policy is now to use QR codes for instructions and save paper, but i ended up having to print them both out anyway as they were to small to see on my phone screen.
The swivels are great, in place but a wee issue with the driver one in that it catches on the plastic of the handbrake, causing a rut in it. Again, Kiravans customer service were very quick to respond and try to trouble shoot for us. I am very short so a lowered handbrake is not an option. We have improvised ourselves, but an extra 2mm on the shims would get rid of this problem. Online forums show that others are experiencing this problem as well.
This is the only reason the product is getting a 4* review and not a 5.

These swivels are designed to fit UK driver and passenger seats in VW Transporter T5 to T6.1 vans (2003–2024), including the Caravelle model. They come with all the necessary fixings for installation on standard seats.

For the driver’s seat, a RIB handbrake lowering kit is included. The passenger swivel also comes with raising shims.

General note on driver swivels: A driver’s swivel will not rotate fully if your van has a fixed double passenger seat, (unless a swivel plate is also installed under the double seat).

To rotate the seat, the engine must be turned off, vehicle put in gear and the handbrake released temporarily.
If your seat has height adjustment, you may need to raise it slightly before rotation to avoid it catching on anything.
If you have a plastic handbrake cover then you may have to remove it and replace with our fabric slip-on cover.
Once the seat is facing the rear, re-engage handbrake.
