Great product very happy.

Used many times now and the quality is excellent Its is still as good as the day I bought it, Packs up nicely, and has never leaked the eye attachments are strong all in all very well made, and even in heavy rain, it gives the option to drop a corner and adjust to avoid any puddles. My only wish would be if it was bigger as im in an LWB and this is designed for long and short a slightly larger Kadar strip and bigger footprint would make it better than perfect.

Happy, but not what I expected.

I like this awning. I have only used it once and started from a position of disappointment. I hadn't read the information about the lack of poles or guys and had spent considerable time deciding whether the high price tag would be worth it. Delivery was in the time described but tracking was misleading and created some anxiety about whether it would arrive on time. A morning digging around in the garage and visiting a few shops for poles and guys left me feeling less than favourably about my new purchase.
On the other side of an evening sat under the awning I feel differently. We had a few glasses on a warm evening with some rain later on and the ability to change the configuration was both fun and practical. The awning proved watertight when left alone and lowering one end kept us comfortably sheltered. It deploys and packs up easily and takes up hardly any room.
So yes, I like this awning. Is it worth the money? It costs considerably more than alternatives and you have to spend more or repurpose presently owned gear in order to use it. I probably wouldn't have bought it had I realised this. However, would I send it back if I could? No, I'm looking forward to another evening under it.

Interesting design ..but early days

Well made apart from the 7 white plastic connection points for guys which look as though they will fail. Let’s see. Apart from that it’s made nicely....but remember that no poles or guys are included. The seam which people have said leaks now appears to be covered underneath...no hopefully will be ok. I have opted for strong Isabella guys and repurposing carbon Isabella caravan awning roof poles. In strong wind the long pegs pulled out...so will be using the massive metal storm pegs in future.

Great Versatile Awning

Great awning, well made and can be used in multiple configurations. We already have an airbeam but wanted something small a compact for one night stays or just days away, this can easily be put up by (and taken down) by one person in about 5 mins, would definitely recommend.

Description

The Kiravans Railsail campervan awning is a sail-cloth type rain and sun shade manufactured in heavy-duty waterproof fabric to attach to the side of your van. The Railsail is a multi-pointed abstract shape so theres no square corners. This means it can be put up in a range of different shapes depending on the set up you want to achieve.

The fabric itself is waterproof and double-stitched with reinforced corners and durable stitched in eyelets. Extra eyelets on each side allow you to attach guylines so you can create rain channels and avoid water from pooling.

Notes on fitting:

The sail-cloth itself is waterproof, but the seam itself is not completely watertight. So please be aware that you may experience some leaking around this area in heavy rain.
