Barn door windows

I bought and installed these windows a couple of weeks ago and they’re brilliant. I followed the instructions to the letter and they look fab. I’d watched loads of YouTube videos beforehand too, and also the one on the Kiravans website. It all went without a hitch. My only recommendation would be to female users, and that would be to make sure you get a heavy duty mastic gun, or ask a chap to help with that bit. The glue is really thick, and I struggled to close the trigger handle. This meant I couldn’t keep a constant flow of adhesive. Fortunately I had a helping hand with this part. Other than that, I’d thoroughly recommend them.

Barn door windows and side windows

I firstly fitted the driver's side window, unfortunately there wasn't enough rubber edging to fit the passenger side window, and had to use some of the edging from the barn door pack, but now only have enough to fit one of the barn doors, other than this the process went smoothly and the both the side windows look great, but if you could please send me enough to fit the second barn door that would be great, many thanks

The supply and delivery from Kiravans was first class, but the fitting was not so easy. I watched the excellent videos on the website and these were very informative and a big help. Once you’ve mustered the courage to start cutting holes in your van there’s no going back. My big problem is getting the windows to seal. I used plenty of the supplied sealant/adhesive, but I’m still experiencing some small water droplets getting through. I’m probably going to have to apply some more sealant around the outer edge of the glass. I would advise that you give yourself plenty of time on a nice day and use lots of sealant/adhesive.

Our aftermarket privacy campervan windows have a dark grey tint to them, stained within the glass itself. This tinted glass allows 20% visible light transmission for a good degree of privacy in your campervan.

Windows are tempered for safety and 'E' stamped to meet the strict European safety standard UN/ECE R43. These high quality windows have a black ceramic 'frit' paint pattern on the inside of the glass, which prevents any visibility of cut metal from the outside of your van conversion.

Please note: The fritting pattern (which is the black ceramic band around the edge of the glass) is designed to appear symmetrical from the outside of the vehicle. However, because the two doors are different widths, from the inside of the van more of the fritting is visible on one side.
