Description
This is produced specifically for finishing off the cut metal inside your van window. It is best to apply this before sticking your window on, but it can also be done afterwards - it's just a bit more tricky!
We stock 2 types of U-profile trim. As a rule, we recommend using the wider edge trim as it's easier to fit. The wider edge trim will easily go over both metal skins on a T5, so it avoids the need to remove pinch weld. However, if you have the time and muscle power to cut out these metal skins, then the standard 8.5mm trim narrow will give you a slightly neater finish!
Standard U-profile edge trim 8.5mm - Black (per metre)
This edge trim is designed to cover edges from 2mm-5mm across but it will open up more than this. We recommend cutting out the VW bonding between the two metal skins and rebonding them together so that the edge trim goes over both skins of metal. This results in a much neater finish to your van.
Extra wide U-profile edge trim - Black (per metre)
This edge trim is designed to cover edges from 8-14 mm across. With this profile, you do not need to cut our the adhesive bond between the two metal skins in your van.
