If you’re lining your campervan - whether it’s your first conversion or you're a professional converter, this is the carpet we always recommend.
Kiravans 4-way stretch lining is soft, flexible and really easy to work with, making it perfect for DIY van builds. It stretches in every direction, so it neatly wraps around all those awkward corners and curves you'll find in your van - wheel arches, window recesses and door frames without the need for endless cutting and patching.
Why it’s our most popular carpet
-
Stretches and shapes beautifully: Wraps around curves for a smooth, professional finish.
-
Easy for anyone to fit: Ideal for DIY projects - forgiving and simple to handle.
-
Looks great, lasts well: Durable 100% polypropylene fibre with a clean, high-quality feel.
-
Fire tested: Meets FMVSS302 flame-retardancy standards for extra peace of mind.
💬 KIRAVANS TIP: Some professional converters use Veltrim carpet, and we occasionally get asked what the difference is. Veltrim is thicker but doesn’t have any stretch. That means more cutting, more joins, and more time. It's all just a bit more hassle matching pieces up for a marginally better finish - and you could end up making it look worse if not done well! Our 4-way stretch carpet gives you a faster, easier job with a great-looking finish.
How much do I need?
In our experience of converting vans, we recommend roughly 10 metres of carpet lining to line a short wheel base VW Transporter T5/T6 van (including headlining). If you're lining a long wheel base van we recommend 15 metres. You will also need some high-temperature spray adhesive and we recommend using 1 can per metre length of carpet.
How we supply carpet lengths
We stock rolls of carpet in 10 metre rolls as a maximum. So if you order more than 10 metres, we’ll send you one 10 metre roll plus the extra metres. E.g. 15m = 10m + 5m roll.
