Introducing external thermomats to your motorhome cabin is extremely beneficial. The Brunner Cli-Mats XT is designed to sit neatly in place on the front of your motorhomes cabin, protecting the windows from excessive sunlight, general weather damage and dirt. These screens consist of a 3 layer construction with a PVC layer, then a thick foam insulating layer and then PVC.
The Brunner Cli-Mats XT are also perfect for use throughout the winter, helping to insulate your motorhome and retain as much heat as possible. As well as this, the Brunner Cli-Mats XT are also a great way to eliminate those annoying flappy curtains that can be hugely distracting when driving the cabin and replacing them with neat mats that will help to keep light out in the evening, whilst also preventing excess sunlight from shining through into your vehicle.
There is a technique to fitting the screen, however, we always advise that you read the manufacturer's fitting instructions before you start. Here is our quick fitting guide so you can get a feel of how straightforward it is to fit before you buy...
1. Firstly, pop up the wipers and place the screen on the external front window, making sure you have it the correct way up. Start by un-rolling the screen and wrap around towards the passenger cab door. Pull it over the wing mirror and towards the top outer corner of the cab door. You will need to partially open the door to be able to hook the corner of the screen over the door frame. Close the door as normal and push in the wing mirror to hold the screen in place.
2. Then start un-rolling the screen towards the driver's door. You will only be able to open the door an inch or so at the very most to be able to hook the corner of the screen over the door frame. If you open the door too wide, then you will not be able to secure the screen over the frame. (Be careful not to tear the screen when hooking over the top of doors). Once in place, push in the wing mirror and push down the wipers to secure the screen. Secure any screen tags over the wing mirrors and wipers to hold firmly in place.
