Great little heater.

Very pleased with my 2kw diesel heater not the cheapest on the market but british made and all spares available unlike cheap Chinese ones, Any one with a reasonable skill set could fit and plumb one of these heater units a must with the the new rise in electricity prices much better for wild and off grid camping and cheap to run, Plenty of fitting information from the guys at Kirivans ,I'll never be cold again😁👍 Thank Kirivans.

MV Diesel heater

I did alot of research into which heater to get. Many decide to purchase a Chinese knock off for less than £100. However all I hear are the many problems they have. So I wanted reassurance that the heater i buy will come with a guarantee....English instructions....a simple controller. I got it all with this heater. Trust me its worth saving up and buying quality with confidence. What I really liked was the video kiravans did on YouTube. I followed it to the letter on my T5 and everything was as expected. Took 3 attempts to get started but when it got going the van warmed up. Excellent service on delivery to us in Northern Ireland.
If you want quality and peace of mind then purchase this heater it comes with everything u need and with English instructions!!!!
Thankyou Kiravans

MV Airo 2KW diesel heater for installation under campervan

A slight delay in reviewing this product as I ordered it Boxing Day and it was fitted late January. I bought the heater to fit my VW T6 as I'm gradually carrying out my own conversion to a day/campervan and suddenly decided to prioritise the heating aspect before making the furniture. I found the video very informative, but I'm afraid I wasn't confident enough to drop the fuel tank, being combined with the Adblu tank, plus I have to carry out most of the work on my van out on the road. Hence finding a professional fitter! That said, I did run the electrics myself, which is just as well as there is a lot of electrical gubbins under the driver's seat and no room for the heating duct. That was routed into the van near the B pillar, still giving me the right amount of space for the furniture. This heater was supplied with the Webasto 60mm vents instead of the original MV ones...brilliant. I've tried the heater a few certainly warms the van up very quickly. I'm happy. From the noise point of view, the sound from within the van is the blowing of the air in through the duct, which is expected and you can hear it running when outside. Although it's early days yet, it still looks a favourable product. The control panel supplied is rather basic, so I think I will buy the digital version ( once I've finished licking my financial wounds!)

Our van has a

Have been impressed by gas heater in a friend's van on Scottish climbing weekends so decided fitting a heater the way to go. After much research decided diesel better for us, avoiding the need to carry additional fuel supplies, and this diesel heater, fitted underneath the floor, appeared to be the best option to go for. Fitted ourselves - the video is simply invaluable, worth multiple viewings if you're not an experienced mechanic. Some awkward and frustrating moments along the way but all worked and the guidance is perfect. The moment you press one of the buttons for the first time AND IT WORKS very satisfying. We brought the inlet duct up and under the driver's seat and it's fine without being attached to anything - will decide whether to put a panel in place in due course. Not tested in earnest yet but it pumps out hot air at the touch of a button. It is quite noisy when at full power but a really good piece of kit, and the thermostat soon turns it down as required. This has just extended the use of our van to all year.

Great kit, comes with almost everything needed but..the vents included are quite large and have a step in them meaning you have to cut quite a large hole to fit them. Also, the large vent doesn't fit in a T5/T6 step very well. Use the webasto ones, much nicer. Also, anyone worried about dropping the tank, plumbing in etc this is easy, and one of easiest parts of the install. The trickiest part of a very straightforward install is finding a neat suitable place to put a vent into the van. The video shows fitting to a backboard behind the drivers seat, but not all vans have this. Also, the video shows the kit coming with a digital control panel, the actual kit only comes with the basic panel, 3 buttons and a ****. All in all, great heater. Warm, quite quiet, great price.

Rob and Mike both have one of these in their vans as they make a huge difference to family comfort when camping or even just having a day by the beach! As of September 2020, these now come with the addition of an exhaust silencer and a combustion air silencer to further reduce noise.

The MV Airo 2 Diesel heater is easy to fit and has the same footprint and installation procedure as other manufacturers' heaters - with the added benefits of lower cost of ownership due to lower-priced service and maintenance parts. This kit includes everything you need for a full install and takes about a day to complete the job.

The MV Airo includes an upgraded control switch, offering more flexibility than those supplied with other makes of diesel heater. It can work either as a thermostat (so it switches off when a temperature is reached) or to set a constant heat output from 0.9 to 2kw (so it works constantly at an appropriate output, and does not cut in and out through the night).

Fitting - Important

Most modern vans have a pressured fuel system. Do not attempt to just plumb straight into a fuel line using a 'T' piece. Fuel must come directly from the fuel tank using the stand pipe supplied.
