Fits well enough but the instructions took some working out

Well made and seems robust although I've not tried it out for real yet. Once I'd worked out the fitting it fits well - just be aware that the instructions videos are for fitting to a T5 - there are some differences on the TVP vans and the pictures are not very clear.

Barn door awning

Generally pleased with the awning.
Couple of small niggle on Nissan Primastar is the awning does not fit in the drainage channel very well and there isn't anywhere for the side strap to fit in the bottom of the door.
Otherwise does the job👍

Absolutely terrible!

Worst purchase ever! I took it on a test strip. Unfortunately, lot of rain (record rain) on the East Coast of Australia. Nothing I could do would make this canopy hold tight. The rain would puddle in the middle of the canopy, then when the weight was too much it would slip off the vehicle end and dump 20 liters of water on my head. It did this about 6 times during the night. Good thing it was summer. There was nothing I could do with Bungy tension or strap tension to get the canopy to sit so that rain would not puddle. A complete waste of funds!

Thanks for the review Joe. Sorry to hear of your difficulties with the weather. The awning is designed to shed water towards the vans intended water channels. I am wondering if the record rain was too much for it to handle. Once the weight of the rain reaches a critical mass, it will start to pool. I think in most European climates heavy rain would be the time to close up the van, but I appreciate that in the heat of a NSW summer you probably wan't the vehicle open.

If you are experiencing the same problem in normal conditions (moderate rain) then contact us directly and we will see what we can do.

I thought it was a bit pricey until it arrived... Then I realise you get what you pay for. The fit is perfect and the quality is fantastic. It's ideal for providing shelter when we're cooking out the back of the van. Super quick to set up and pack away and takes up hardly any space. Really couldn't rate this product enough and it was dispatched and delivered very quickly.

Designed and manufactured exclusively for Kiravans, our rear Trafic/Vivaro/Primastar campervan awning provides shelter to the back end of your van and really opens up the usable space. It is great when sitting on the back of the bed and soaking up a beautiful view.

Notes on fitting

Fitting is very similar to the T5 barn door awning so do have a look at our fitting video even though it's not your model of van. Really only the pole is different (two rubber ends and no spike). Kindly be aware that our barn door awnings will not fit if you are using a rear door bike rack mounted on the top of your doors.
